Removal, Clean-up and Re-installation of Doc.It Suite 3.x

Follow the steps below to properly remove, clean-up folders, and re-install Doc-it Suite 3 on a workstation:

1. Start Add/Remove Programs(or Programs and Features, as appropriate) and uninstall the following:
a. Doc.It Suite -- all versions listed,
b. PDF Writer -- all versions listed,
c. PDF-XChange PDF Viewer -- all versions listed.

2. Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the Doc.It installation folder (e.g.: C:\Program Files\Doc-It or C:\Program Files (x86)\Doc-It as appropriate) and delete all files and folders present EXCEPT for the files SERVERPATH.TXT and NETWORKPATH.TXT.

3. Again using Windows Explorer, navigate to the logged in user's Doc-ItTemp folder within their profile (e.g.: C:\Documents and Settings\*username*\Application Data\Doc-ItTemp or C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Roaming\Doc-ItTemp as appropriate) and delete all files and folders present EXCEPT for the files SERVERPATH.TXT and NETWORKPATH.TXT.

4. Restart the system (not optional) and then log on as a user that has administrator-level access to the local system.

5. Re-install Doc.It from the installer found in the “Install Client” folder, and allow patch updates to be applied.
