Setting up a Publication Engine:
NOTE: If updating the Publication Engine, begin by uninstalling the current version, then continue with this article.
The Publication Engine should be run on a system that is always logged on. It can run on one or more user workstations, or ideally the Doc.It Watch (scanning station).
NOTE: The workstation or server to run the Publication Engine, must have Microsoft Office 2007 or greater installed and initialized. Start Outlook and configure without email support.
1. Install the Publication Engine - Doc.It Publication Installer v4.x.x.msi can be found on the Doc.It server:

2. Edit the following file located on the same system where the Publication Engine has been installed: C:\Program Files (x86)\Doc.It Suite 4\Services\Doc.It Publication 4\ConfigPath.xml
The following lines:

<ServerPath>C:\Doc-ItServer</ServerPath>
<DocItDBConnectPath>C:\Doc-ItServer\Manager\Firebird\DocItDBConnect.txt</DocItDBConnectPath>
Should contain the UNC path to the Doc.It server:
<ServicesCommon>
<ServerPath>\\SERVER-NAME\Doc-ItServer</ServerPath>
<DocItDBConnectPath>\\SERVER-NAME\Doc-ItServer\Manager\Firebird\DocItDBConnect.txt</DocItDBConnectPath>
Once installed, the executable can be placed into the Startup folder for auto-launch upon logon.
3. Grant Modify rights for the Publication Engine's Windows domain user account to "\Doc-ItServer\ARCHDocs" AND "\Doc-ItServer\Publications" folders.
4. Start the Publication Engine
