Policies and Policy Manager - Document Name Mask field possibilities
Hello Doc.It Users!
Here are all possible masks you can use to configure your policies' Doc. Name Mask field (Maintenance > Policy Manager). You can enter descriptions or instructions in between the {curly brackets} in order to indicate the information users should be typing in when applying a policy to a document.
- %yyyymmdd{}% or %yyyy-mm-dd{}% or %yyyy.mm.dd {}% Example: %{Enter date of document}%
- %{}% Example: %{Enter document description here}%
- %{OPTIONAL description goes here}% *v4.5 and up*
- $Date(yyyymmdd) *This one will automatically apply today’s date to the document name*
- $Login *This one will automatically apply the username to the document name*
- + *Using the plus sign at the start or end of the document name mask field will automatically append the original document name*
