Doc.It Suite 3.x requires that UAC is set to "Never Notify" to function correctly, for instance when emailing a document for the Doc.It Agent, UAC may block the New Outlook Mesage dialog from popping up.
This article addresses the fact that sometimes, even though the GUI interface shows that UAC is set to "Never Notify", the Registry contradicts this and has it enabled. The following instructions will lead you through changing this using Regedit...
You may use the attached reg file to Disable the UAC. Simply, double click the registry file and settings will be imported on the machine.
Manual procedure to disable UAC is given below
Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click Enter.
If prompted to enter your credentials, click on Yes to continue.
Navigate to the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
In the details pane (Right Pane), locate the EnableLUA key (REG_DWORD type). Double click to Modify. In the Value data box, type 0 (zero), and then click OK.
Exit Registry Editor, and then restart the computer.
