Enable Advanced Logging, and Retrieving Log Files for Doc.It Support

Always contact Doc.It Support first, as the issue may be known. Only follow the steps below when requested to, by the Doc.It Support department.

To enable Advanced Logging:
1. Shutdown Doc.It Suite 
2. Launch the Doc.It Startup Utility

3. Select the "Doc.It Suite" tab and check the "Enable Advanced Logging" checkbox and save.

4. When the issue next occurs, call support or collect the logs as described below and send them in.


Collecting log files from user's workstations:
Copy and Paste the appropriate path below into your Windows search or browse, remembering that the "AppData" folder could be hidden and may need to be typed.

For Doc.It Suite errors including actions within the Binder Explorer, Archive Explorer, Document Search, My Inbox -  C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Doc-It4\Doc.It Suite 4\LOG FILES

The rest of the logs for the below components are found here under C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Doc-It4\Doc-ItTemp
Doc.It CW Batch Print 4.5
Doc.It Email Converter 32
Doc.It Office Addin
Doc.It PDF Editor 4.5
Doc.It Portal Manager
Doc.It Startup Utility
Doc.It Suite Updater

Collecting Log Files from Watch/Publication systems:
Doc.It Watch 4 and Doc.It OCR logs are located on the scanner station under C:\Program Files (x86)\Doc.It Suite 4\Doc.It Watch 4\doc.it watch\LOG Files - and - C:\Program Files (x86)\Doc.It Suite 4\Doc.It OCR 4\Doc.It OCR\LOG Files

Doc.It Publication Engine - C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Doc-It4\Doc-ItTemp\Doc.It Publication\LOG Files
